Farmhouse style tables have become so very popular over the last few years.  I love ones that are unique and made from reclaimed wood.  Kelly and her husband opened New England Country Rentals because while planning their own New England wedding they were not able to find what they wanted for tables.  So, they made some.  After their wedding they put up a simple web site to see if their was any interest and New England Country Rentals was born!

What inspired you to start New England Rentals?

-My husband and I were planning our own wedding and were endlessly searching for true wooden farm tables for our reception. We found a company out in California that provided them and after contacting them it was made very clear that there was nowhere on the East Coast that provided true wooden farm tables for rent… so after exhausting our options, we decided to build them ourselves! We built 22 farm tables for our wedding, purchased garden chairs and put up a simple website www.farmtables4rent.com to see if there was any interest for other couples, within a few short months the tables became so popular that we expanded to New England Country Rentals and became a full service rental company.

How long have you been in business?

-A little less than 2 years

What area do you service?

-We can provide rentals anywhere – just shipped items to Wisconsin last week! But focus mainly on New England & New York.

What inspires the items you carry or custom create?

-We find inspiration everywhere – private homes, gardens, farms, architecture –  but mostly surrounding the concept of unique, high quality rental items that you cannot find elsewhere. There are plenty of companies that already supply the generic folding tables, chairs, china & flatware and there are sure to be plenty more popping up – so we will leave that up to them! We want to provide our clients with items that are one of a kind and unique to their needs – we look to help them create the “wow” factor for their guests.

What makes your company different from others?

-Most of our items are custom made, built or finished. We build all of our farm tables, bars, benches, planks & other items in house and out of high quality materials. We also pride ourselves in our product & service. We will never rent anything that shows wear, scratching or damage and our staff is known for going over the top to provide the best and kindest service available.

What kind of unique items do you offer?

-Walnut Farm Tables – built out of reclaimed lumber from barns in Canada

-Whitewash & Bluewash Farm Tables – hand painted with Old Fashioned Milk Paint to create a vintage look but finished with Butcher’s Wax to have a smooth & soft surface

-Distressed Chiavari Chairs – hand painted & distressed chairs

-Farm Benches – hand made benches comprised from a single piece of wood

-Rustic Plank with Wine Barrels – 8 or 12 foot planks that straddle wide barrels and are perfect as a buffet table, display table or bar

-Pine Bar – hand made & finished wooden or corrugated metal bars

-Wine Barrels – used wine barrels that were purchased from a variety of vineyards and still have the original markings

How soon should a bride or couple contact you to discuss the details of their wedding?

-For a June – October wedding we usually start booking out 10-12 months prior but depending on the date it is great to reach out within 4-6 months, we absolutely receive last minute requests as well and do our best to meet the needs of our couples.

What is your goal with your company?

-To provide the highest quality rental items & service available in New England.

Is there anything else that you think our readers would be interested to know??

-We are constantly expanding our inventory – we are in the midst of working on round & square farm tables that will seat 8 guests – they look stunning! And will be available to start renting in late 2011/early 2012.
